Asportuguesas shoes are a new footwear concept that was born with the purpose of creating quality, sustainable & eco-friendly footwear. They are a unique recycled felt wool upper and rubber/cork soled footwear brand, using 100% natural raw materials. The cork is harvested from a cork tree and retrieved every nine years without the tree ever being cut. The wool is boiled and compressed for durability and softness.

All work is done exclusively by local workers, from the extraction to the manufacture of the footwear. This allows for more jobs to be created and maintained in more rural areas of the country, and for cork workers to be the highest paid in the Portuguese agricultural sector.

These shoes are the perfect hybrid for anyone on the go running errands, needing a shoe that doubles as a slipper around the house, or perfect for long travel days! They come in mule and full slip on styles.
